Reading frameworks isn't the same as cracking a PM interview.
Most candidates know the theory. The product manager case round is where it falls apart.
Practice is hard to come by.
Mock partners cancel, coaches are expensive, and you rarely get to run a full case end to end before the real one.
Feedback is vague.
"Be more structured" doesn't tell you what to change. You need to see which step you skipped and what a strong answer would have said.
The pressure is different live.
Under follow-up questions it's easy to jump between ideas, guess at causes and run out of time before you recommend anything.
How a PM mock interview works.
Three steps and one honest scorecard, in your browser, whenever you have twenty minutes.
Choose a case
Root cause, product design and strategy cases across e-commerce, fintech, social, mobility, SaaS and more. The companies are fictional; the numbers are realistic.
Solve it live
Structure the problem, ask for the data you need and test your hypotheses. You only get what you ask for, and you'll be pushed on every jump, just like a final round.
Learn from your scorecard
Scores on five skills, quotes from your own answers showing what to fix, the ideal path step by step, and a model close to learn from.
Build the habits panels look for.
Each case trains the moves that separate a hire from a maybe, and your scorecard tracks them.
Structure before data
Lay out a clear metric tree and say where you'll look first, and why, before asking for a single number.
Ask for the right cut
Narrow the problem step by step instead of asking for everything, and close each branch as you leave it.
Prove the cause
Find what changed, then prove it with a fair comparison, so your answer holds up to the "how do you know?" question.
Size it and recommend
Put a number on the impact and finish with a fix, a success metric, a guardrail and the trade-off you're making.
PM interview questions across six industries.
From 15-minute structuring drills to full 40-minute final rounds. Each one has a hidden data sheet, red herrings and a model answer.

Frequently asked questions.
What is a PM mock interview?
A practice run of a product manager interview. You get a real-style question, such as a metric drop, a product design brief or a strategy call, and work through it live while the interviewer answers your questions and pushes back. ProdDojo then scores how you did and shows the ideal path.
How do I prepare for a product manager interview?
Learn the main question types (root cause analysis, product design, strategy and metrics), then practise them out loud under time pressure. The habits that matter are structuring before asking for data, proving the cause, sizing the impact and ending with a clear recommendation. Run several full mock interviews and fix one gap at a time. Our 4-week PM interview preparation plan lays it out.
What questions are asked in PM interviews?
Most loops mix root cause questions ("orders fell 12%, why?"), product design questions ("design X for Y users"), strategy and pricing questions ("should we launch this?"), and metrics questions. See our full list of product manager interview questions, grouped by type and industry.
I've read the frameworks. Why do I need practice?
Knowing a framework and using it live are different skills. Case rounds test how you structure under pressure, which data you ask for, how you prove a cause and whether you land a recommendation. That only improves with reps and specific feedback.
Who plays the interviewer?
An AI interviewer that follows a case sheet written the way experienced PMs run case rounds, with the data, the red herrings, the root cause and the ideal path. It only shares what you ask for, so you practise the real skill. It's an AI, not a person: the name and job title are part of the role-play.
Who is it for?
Anyone preparing for product manager, associate PM or product analyst interviews, especially case-heavy rounds at consumer tech, fintech and SaaS companies.
What kinds of cases can I practise?
Root cause analysis (metric drops and spikes), quick structuring drills, product design, and strategy, pricing and growth cases, across six industries.
What if I get stuck?
Ask for a nudge. The interviewer gives you a hint without handing over the answer, the way a supportive panel would, and your scorecard shows where you lost the thread.
How long does a case take?
Quick drills take about 15 minutes. Full cases take 25 to 40 minutes. You can end a case whenever you like and still get your scorecard.
Is my data private?
We store your email, transcripts and scorecards so you can review them later. Your interview text is sent to our AI providers to write replies and isn't used to train AI models. We never sell your data, and you can delete your account and everything in it from your account page. See our Privacy Notice.
Are these real companies?
No. The companies are fictional and the numbers are created for practice, but the problems mirror what real product teams deal with.
