Big-stadium pickup
A product design question from a product manager interview, set at GullyGo, a fictional ride-hailing company.

A starting structure
Match-night trips = arrival + exit; exit gap = requests in the peak window vs drivers who can reach riders in that window × trips per driver
How to approach this case
Clarify the goal first: better match-night ratings, more completed rides, or both, without burning out drivers. Ask about the crowd size, how people arrive and leave, and the physical layout around the stadium. Then split the journey into getting there and getting home, and decide which one is the real problem. Size it. Compare how many ride requests come in a short window with how many cars can actually reach riders in that window. Treat it as a two-sided problem. Riders need to find their driver in a crowd. Drivers need a reason to come into a jam. Think carefully about pricing, since it affects trust. A strong close picks a small pilot for a couple of matches, names one main metric such as wait time, sets guardrails for driver earnings and complaints, and admits what depends on police and stadium cooperation.
