Ten minutes, no screen

A product design question from a product manager interview, set at Turantkart, a fictional quick commerce company.

The question

You're a PM at Turantkart, an Indian app that delivers groceries in about 10 minutes from dark stores. Make Turantkart work well for blind and low-vision shoppers.

A starting structure

Goal → blind vs low-vision users and how they use phones → full journey, app to doorstep → pain points → fixes vs new features → v1 → metric and ops guardrail

How to approach this case

Clarify the goal first: serving these users well for their own sake, legal or brand reasons, or growth. Then ask how these shoppers use phones today, which assistive tools they rely on and what the data says about where they drop off. Segment carefully. Someone who is fully blind and uses a screen reader, someone with low vision who zooms in and an older user with weakening eyesight have different needs. Walk the whole journey, not just the screens: finding a product, choosing the right variant, paying, waiting, and the moment the order arrives at the door. Separate basic fixes the app owes everyone from new features. Rank pain points by how often they block an order. Check every idea against the 10-minute promise and against the experience of other users. A strong close names a metric, an operations guardrail and what you give up.
